The Office of University Communications, within the Office of the Chancellor, offers strategic communications services, consulting, and support to the University of Pittsburgh community.

The office's expertise includes marketing, media relations, social media, video, and web services, as well as news and magazines, PittWire and University Times, and the production of the University's flagship Pitt Magazine.

As the institution's primary office for strategic communications, University Communications focuses on projects that highly align with Pitt's strategic-plan goals in advancing the mission and national reputation of the institution. The office also manages the institution's identity and branding system, and serves as a steward in ensuring that the branding of the University of Pittsburgh appears appropriately in all uses.
