Pitt CampusPress Guide

CampusPress is a service that allows for easy creation of Wordpress websites using templates aligned with the University of Pittsburgh's branding.  The sections below will walk you through using this system with guides and links to informative walk throughs.

Basics of CampusPress
Pages

Pages are the backbone of your website.   Follow the instructions using the Classic Editor.

Homepage

The homepage cannot be replaced with another page, nor should it be unpublished.  Best practice for the homepage is making it short so that parts of interest of the site can be highlighted so visitors can easily find them.

Posts

Posts will function as your news.  You can use this feature to highlight stories from your unit.  Your website will be created with a page called News that will populate your posts.

Advanced Features

For people more familiar with website building and Wordpress, there are additional options for editing your website.

The Divi Builder is utilized in the homepage of all Campus Press websites.

Divi Builder

CampusPress People Page utilizes the Divi Builder to organize people on your website.

This people page has been added to your website, but upon creation is listed as unpublished.
