Lest We Forget

Lest We Forget art installation

Pitt and the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh partnered to bring the traveling art installation “Lest We Forget” to the Cathedral of Learning lawn in 2019. Featuring 60 larger-than-life portraits of Holocaust survivors—16 of them from the Pittsburgh area—the exhibit was part of the city’s one-year commemoration of the shooting that killed 11 worshippers at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill neighborhood. UCM featured the exhibit prominently in Pittwire and Pitt Magazine as well as Pitt social media and helped to generate widespread coverage in local and national media.
