CampusPress Terms and Conditions

Users of University-supported CampusPress sites must adhere to Pitt’s IT policies and operating standards, as well as all applicable state and federal regulations. Access to the CampusPress environments is restricted to authorized University of Pittsburgh users. Sites created for or by unauthorized users may be removed.

General Use Requirements

  • Users are responsible for the content they publish.
  • Users are responsible for maintaining backups of their site content.
  • Sites may not be used for commercial gain or personal profit.
  • Sites may not be used for illegal activities or to violate University policy.
  • Users may not publish content that is threatening, abusive, hostile, fraudulent, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate.

Accessibility

All University of Pittsburgh websites, including CampusPress sites, are required by law and University policy to be accessible to all visitors. Site creators are responsible for ensuring their content complies with federal accessibility regulations and the University’s accessibility standards.

Branding/Visual Design

  • CampusPress users agree to use the branding and visual design elements provided in the approved templates.
  • Users may not override template colors, fonts, graphic identity, or navigation menus.
  • Custom styles or alternative visual designs are not permitted on this platform.

Copyright

Website creators must comply with copyright laws and University of Pittsburgh intellectual property policies. All material posted on Pitt CampusPress sites must:

  • Belong to the site owner, or
  • Be in the public domain, or
  • Be used with proper permission or licensing from the copyright holder.
